Believe in yourself, be willing to try, to take risks and don't be afraid to fail.

Not too long ago, a friend of mine went on the trip of a lifetime, taking her dad to NFR in Las Vegas.  What a trip, what stories she had and the pictures from the road were priceless.  When she returned she brought me 2 leather luggage tags.  They were purchased a NFR.  She and her dad couldn't find just the right memento to memorialize their trip.  She says " I saw these and I knew you could make something amazing..."  No pressure.  

I thought about those tags for months.  What if I don't make something they love.  What if they regret having me cut them up.  What if they don't like them.  I was so nervous to get started on them.  This was a honor, yet pretty daunting.  

One day I decided, I had a vision.  I had the supplies and I started in.  I made her dads first.  I carefully trimmed down the tag to get the sizing just right.  I picked out the silver Snap and the Silver studs that would secure it to the strap.  As I worked, it came together beautifully.  I was in awe of how they turned out.  Yes I even amaze myself sometimes.  

I knew hers had to be daintier and less masculine.  I started working drawing designs that would allow for the large leather tag, but also be more detailed and feminine.  As it came together they made such a timeless pair.  I was so honored that she thought of me to memorialize their special trip with custom wearable art.  And that she trusted me with complete freedom to create something for them.  I am so happy I was able to deliver.  

Sometimes in life, others see things in us we don't always see in ourselves.  Don't be afraid to take chances.  Never be afraid to fail, its how we grow.  I have decided to trust my vision.  If you have a custom project, let me know, I'm up for the challenge.
